COMING EVENTS

VCGNY SPECIALITY SHOW JUNE 2O, 2026

On this coming Saturday, 06/20, our Club’s Specialty Show will be held at the Ulster County Fair Grounds in New Paltz, NY. Start time at our Ring 5 both Saturday (6/20) and Sunday (6/21) will be 9:00 AM.All members are encouraged to attend with or without an entry into the field as this is a really GREAT opportunity for our club members to get together, share stories and make plans for future events. The club will be providing sandwiches and refreshments and we will be running an exciting raffle! Please consider adding a donation to the raffle as this is our club’s BIG fundraiser.

SAVE THE DATE.

We are in the preliminary stages of setting the date for the Fall Fetch Event (Oct 3 or 4) at the Golden Rule School for Dogs in Andover, NJ. This has been an extremely well received performance event for our beloved dogs, it is a low bar for early success and a great way to spend quality time with your dog. Please consider entering - there will be plenty of support staff to help you succeed.

PAST EVENTS.

Our club recently ran two successful FETCH tests at Golden Rule for Dogs in Andover, NJ. This is the third time our club has run these tests and each time we run an event we keep getting more entries. It is always so interesting to see the various breeds that enter!
Participants in FETCH must start at the Novice level and work their way through Intermediate, Advanced, and finally Retriever. Our club is proud to announce that Ripley owned by Heinz Wimer, passed the very difficult Retriever level and thereby added a new title to his name. He is now Ch Anderson’s Ripley BN SH DCAT CGC TKN FTR.
Marie Warniaha, put a Novice title on her Wata Regal Rigatoni (Riggs) and club members, Sharon and Jim Hennen got a Novice pass on their Chase.
